What are dermal fillers and how do they work?
Dermal fillers are used to restore volume to the face caused by aging, sun damage, weight loss, scarring, and repeated dynamic facial expressions. As aging occurs, collagen and fat deposits recede. Dermal fillers are used to stimulate new collagen production, lift the face, volumize lips, and smooth lines.
Our aesthetics manager works with our patients to design a treatment plan to best meet their treatment needs. Our goal is to enhance your natural beauty, creating a youthful, vibrant appearance at any age.
What should I expect during a dermal filler appointment?
Using a very fine needle, your filler will be injected just beneath the surface of your skin. Many fillers contain lidocaine can minimize discomfort. We also offer patients numbing cream in advance of their filler injections. Your provider will need only minutes to complete the injections, and in most cases, you can return to work or other activities immediately after. You’ll see a noticeable change in your skin’s appearance before you leave the office. Depending on the filler, patients may enjoy their results for months and up to a full year depending on the product.
Which dermal fillers do you offer and where can I learn more?
We use a variety of dermal fillers. We use hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvéderm® products, Restylane® products, or Belotero Balance®, Calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) fillers such as Radiesse®, and poly-L-lactic acid fillers such as Sculptra®.
